Hand-painted

Ornaments

When I paint miniatures, I like for them to be unique. I paint Christmas ornaments and hollow egg shells mostly. The egg shells are real - I pierce both ends of the egg, break the yoke with a needle and then, carefully, blow the egg out. For the ornaments, I head to the craft store and look for appealing shapes. Michael's is my favorite - I've often thought I'd like to live there!

Many years ago my father, who was fascinated with my talent, asked how I managed to keep my hand steady when working with something so small. At the time, I had never thought about it, but then I realized I had been holding my breath with each stroke I made.
